PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex fluid machine preventing step-out of a rotating electrical machine, when a compressor section and the rotating electrical machine are switched to be in a connected state, while an expander section is driven. SOLUTION: In the complex fluid machine 40, a control section 56 decreases the rotation speed of the motor generator 50 on receiving a request to connect the compressor section 60 with the motor generator 50, when a motor generator 50 is rotated by mechanical energy output from the expander section 85, the compressor section 60 is not driven, and the compressor section 60 and the motor generator 50 are disconnected by the switching means C. Then, the control section 56 makes the switching means C switch the motor generator 50 and the compressor section 60 to be in the connected state, when the rotation speed of the motor generator 50 is smaller than a preset predetermined rotation speed.
