PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus which is capable of reducing noise, even when a divided signal is a small signal, and is advantageous to prevent deterioration of S/N. SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging apparatus includes: a pixel unit 1 including a plurality of cells 11 disposed on a semiconductor substrate, each cell having a photodiode, a readout means for reading signal charges generated by the photodiode to a detection unit, an output means for outputting a voltage detected by the detection unit and a reset means for resetting the detection means; a readout pulse amplitude control means 41 for controlling an exposure time for photoelectric conversion in the photodiode and dividing and reading the signal charges accumulated in the photodiode; and an addition means 20 which includes a first determination means 22 for comparing a signal level of a final signal among the signals divided and read multiple times to determine whether to add a signal read first, and combines a plurality of signals divided and read into one signal.
