PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit and an image pickup device, sufficiently decreasing various aberrations in one group constitution and achieving an optimal lens in VGA standard or the like. SOLUTION: An imaging lens 100 has a lens group 110 arranged in order from an object side OBJS to the side of an image face 130. The lens group 110 includes: a first lens element 111, a buffer layer 112; a transparent body 113; and a second lens element 114, arranged in order from the object side OBJS to the side of the image face 130.
