<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly uniformly distribute a coating medium over the whole outlet width direction under changing operation conditions. <P>SOLUTION: A curtain-type coater on paper or a board web includes a hopper 1 containing a gap 7 feeding a coating medium and extending in a discharge width direction through at least two feed lines 12 equipped with a device controlling the volume flow rate of the fed coating medium, and a flow channel 6 discharging the coating medium in embodiment of a curtain through an external slot. The flow channel 6 is divided into many spread guide channels 6.1-6.n of a diffuser block which is adjoined to the gap 7 divided in a plurality of regions at the section 7.1-7.n in a plurality of the discharge width direction at least by an inlet side, each of the plurality of sections 7.1-7.n is connected to a feed line 12, and possesses a pitch intermediating a plurality of guide channel 6.1-6.n of the diffuser block. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
