A charging apparatus for electric energy stores comprises a holding device that is designed and equipped to accommodate one or a plurality of electric energy stores, preferably rechargeable electric energy stores for vehicles, a charging and charge control device that is designed and equipped to charge, in a controlled manner, the electric energy store/s accommodated in the holding device, and an air-conditioning device that is designed and equipped to control the temperature inside the holding device.
