<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element capable of displaying excellently. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display element includes: a first transparent substrate including a first polarizing film having a plurality of spiral patterns or radial patterns, and a first transparent electrode; a second transparent substrate arranged opposite to the first transparent substrate, and including a second polarizing film having a plurality of spiral patterns or radial patterns, and a second transparent electrode; and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first transparent substrate and the second transparent substrate. When viewed from a normal direction of the first and second transparent substrates, a pixel is demarcated on a position where the first transparent substrate is faced with the second transparent substrate, and the center of the spiral patterns or the radial patterns of the first polarizing film agrees with the center of the spiral patterns or the radial patterns of the second polarizing film, wherein both centers are arranged out of the pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
