PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fringe field switching (FFS) mode liquid crystal display device and a method of fabricating the same, capable of effectively improving pixel quality by maintaining or increasing a whole storage capacity, by forming an auxiliary storage capacitance by variation of a pixel size and variation of conventional storage capacitance of each pixel due to high precision. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a lower substrate, an upper substrate and a liquid crystal display layer inserted between substrates. Each unit pixel region is specified by a gate line G and a data line 600 in the lower substrate, and a switching element is arranged in an intersection. In the pixel region, a transparent pixel electrode 400 and a transparent common electrode 800 are provided in order to adjust a light transmission amount by applying an electric field in a liquid crystal layer. Moreover, a transparent auxiliary capacitance electrode 150 is provided, and the transparent auxiliary capacitance electrode is electrically connected to a common bus line formed in a non-display region of outside of a non-display region, via a prescribed contact hole, and the transparent common electrode is connected to the common bus line.
