PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge location detection device for parked vehicle which enhances the accuracy of edge location detection for parked vehicles even if utilizing a horizontal wide angle sonar. SOLUTION: The horizontal wide angle sonar 4 used for the edge detection device for parked vehicles includes a transmitter 4M and a pair of right and left receivers 4R and 4L. Both the receivers 4R and 4L have a common receiving domain 4LRw. Here, in the horizontal wide angle sonar 4, the number of the transmitter 4M is one. Thereby, since easy transmission of supersonic wave toward an edge of parked vehicles is enabled, the location of the edge is easily detected using the common receiving domain 4LRw.
