PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map information processing device for automatically selecting annotation display in accordance with a display scale on the basis of more objective standards. SOLUTION: The map information processing device includes: a means for specifying a region to which an object of annotation display belongs on the basis of position information and specifying weight information set to the specified region out of a regional weight storage means; a means for calculating the score of the annotation display by tallying by weighting the attribute information of the object of annotation display based on the specified weight information; a storage means for storing the calculated score and the annotation display associated with each other; an extraction means for selecting scores within a defined score range in accordance with a specified scale and extracting annotation display having the selected score; a means for extracting map data falling under the specified scale out of the storage means; and a means for creating map information on the basis of the extracted annotation display and map data.
