The device (10) has a housing unit (36) provided with a partially molded sealing unit and a sealing transition area (40). A chamber (42) is arranged downstream to the sealing transition area and integrated into the housing unit. The housing unit exhibits an inlet channel (48) through which a material is guided for molding the sealing unit. The inlet channel and the sealing transition area are arranged in a longitudinal direction (50) of the housing unit and arranged at opposite edge areas (52, 54) of the housing unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a plug connector device.
