<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural ligand for an orphan G-protein coupled receptor FPRL2 and methods of use thereof, and to provide biological functionality of FPRL2 polypeptide in antibodies prepared against FPRL2. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided methods, reagents and kits for detecting of formyl peptide receptor like-2 (FPRL2) polypeptide activity in a sample and identifying agents which modulate polypeptide activity. Antibodies prepared against FPRL2 are also provided.
