A dual carrier high speed packet access system and radio link control method thereof are provided in the present invention. The method comprises: a radio access network control entity A sends a radio link control signaling to a radio access network control entity B, and the radio link control signaling carries information of a radio link and direction; the radio access network control entity B, according to the radio link control signaling, performs radio link control for the radio link in accordance with the direction. The method also comprises: the radio access network control entity A performs the radio link control for the radio link managed by itself and reports to the radio access network control entity B using the radio link control signaling, and the radio link control signaling carries information of the radio link and direction. The present invention enables performing the radio link control in the dual carrier high speed packet access system, and makes the dual carrier high speed packet access technology applicable.
