PURPOSE: A walking aid with a brake mechanism due to turning a handle is provided to enable the old with weak clamping force to stably brake wheels of the walking aid. CONSTITUTION: A walking aid with a brake mechanism due to turning a handle comprises: a body frame(110); a plurality of wheels(130) prepared in the lower part of the body frame; a pair of handles(140) prepared on the top of the body frame; a braking part for braking the wheels; and a brake wire in which one end is connected to the braking part. The handle is formed into a rod form extended in the horizontal direction. The other end of the brake wire is fixed to and combined with a wire fixing part prepared in the front of the handle.
