The method involves controlling a buzzer for production of an acoustic signal via a variable pulse width modulated buzzer control signal (4), where the buzzer is operated at frequency that ranges between 1.8 kHz and 2.7 kHz. The buzzer control signal comprises two pulse frequencies, which lie within a variation range of loudness maximum frequency of the buzzer, to be expected, where the variation range amounts to maximum of 200 Hertz. The pulse frequencies of the control signal are modulated for production of a vibrato of the acoustic signal. An independent claim is also included for a house-hold device that comprises a control-circuit.
