PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring an insulator is provided to improve the convenience and the efficiency of a monitoring operation by preventing measuring errors and contact errors. CONSTITUTION: A frame unit(100) is in contact with an insulator assembly. A sensor unit(200) is combined with the frame unit and detects the location of an insulator. A monitoring unit(400) is in contact with the insulator according to the location signal of the insulator. The property of the insulator is measured, the property error of the insulator is detected. The monitoring unit is composed of a measuring part and a driving part.
