The rack system (100) has two rack trolleys (1a, 1b) movable against each other along a track (40) and comprising storage units (10-1 to 10-5) for accommodating goods. The rack trolleys are formed as step shape, and are displaceable into each other. The trolleys carry one of the storage units on each steps, and are completely displaceable from each other or overlap each other. The trolleys are provided with an upwardly open access opening, and have step-shaped structure elements (12) connected with each other by cross beams.
