PURPOSE: A method for reducing metal ions is provided to afford an additional lithium source without a reducing agent and a conductive metal for improving output characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A method for reducing metal ions comprises a step of reducing metallic ions by irradiating microwave to a composition consisting of a compound having a pyrrolidone functional group and metallic ions, wherein the compound having a pyrrolidone functional group is N-methyl-2-pyrplidone and the metallic ion is lithium ion.
