Cosmetic composition (I) comprises: at least one film forming agent impermeable and resistant to water; at least one thickening agent; and at least one shear thinning agent. Independent claims are included for: (1) manufacturing (I) comprising: (a) melting at least one thickening agent; (b) heating at least one film forming agent; (c) adding the film forming agent in the thickener; (d) lowering the temperature to a temperature not exceeding 40[deg] C and adding the mixture of shear-thinning agent, optionally an antioxidant and/or an active agent; (e) cooling the mixture obtained after step (d) to room temperature; and optionally adding perfume; (f) pouring the mixture obtained after step (e); and (2) protecting skin and/or hair upon contact with an aqueous medium, comprising spreading (I) to the skin and/or hair before immersing the skin and/or hair in the aqueous medium.
