The present invention provides an antibody which is capable of binding to the rat, cynomolgus monkey and human LINGO polypeptide with a dissociation constant <1000nM such that the association of LINGO-1 with NgR is inhibited and neurite outgrowth inhibitory activity of adult rat spinal cord myelin attenuated at sub-nM concentrations. Further provided is the use of such antibody in the treatment of a CNS injury, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the antibody.
