An air conditioner is provided with a heat exchanger (102) and an electric motor for rotating a fan (103). The electric motor is provided with a stator which has a stator core (11), a rotor, and two conductive brackets (17, 19) which fix bearings (15a, 15b) for supporting a rotating shaft (16). The two brackets (17, 19) are electrically connected to each other. The heat exchanger (102) has a ground part (110) for grounding, and the stator core (11) is electrically connected to the ground part (110). In this configuration, the potentials of the heat exchanger (102) and the stator core (11) are zero, and thus a high-frequency current flowing into the rotating shaft (16) from the heat exchanger (102) via the fan (103) is suppressed. Since the two brackets (17, 19) have the same potential, the flow of the high-frequency current is suppressed. Consequently, the occurrence of electric corrosion of the bearings (15a, 15b) due to a high frequency is suppressed.
