PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a braking mechanism by which the size of an upper case is reduced and lower clearance adjustment is facilitated in a top-railed sliding door. SOLUTION: The braking mechanism of the top-railed sliding door includes a braking rack 8 arranged along the longitudinal direction of a hanger rail 5 hanging a door body 1, and a braking device 7 arranged on the door body 1 and provided with a gear 70 engaged with the braking rack 8. The braking device is arranged on the door body 1 in a horizontal state, and the braking rack 8 is arranged so that it may be engaged with the gear 70, which is in a horizontal state. The braking device is fitted to an upper surface of the door body 1 to be positioned between the upper surface 10 of the door body 1 and a lower surface of the hanger rail 5.
