PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner securing necessary power for the air conditioner by recovering waste heat of an internal combustion engine by a Rankine circuit and efficiently using all of the recovered waste heat without loss without enlarging components of the air conditioner including the internal combustion engine in regard to an air conditioner driving a compressor by an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes the Rankine circuit (20) recovering waste heat of the internal combustion engine (1) driving a main compressor (1) of a first refrigerating circuit (10) to rotatively drive an expander (24) and to transmit rotating driving force to a generator (26), and a second refrigerating circuit (30) circulating a second refrigerant while carrying out phase change by driving an auxiliary compressor (32) connected to the expander along with the generator. An auxiliary heat exchanger (36) heat-exchanging between a first refrigerant in the first refrigerating circuit and the second refrigerant in the second refrigerating circuit is provided between the first refrigerating circuit and the second refrigerating circuit.
