PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner capable of achieving oil combustion of low air ratio and short flame, which is conventionally difficult to achieve. SOLUTION: This low air ratio/short flame burner can be achieved by (1) ultra atomization by impinging spray, and miniaturization of flame due to swirl of combustion air, (2) rapid combustion of coarse grain by the air for swirl combustion, (3) reduction of an outlet diameter of a combustion chamber to prevent escape of the combustion air, (4) supply of two-stage air to allow one-stage air to follow the flame, and (5) a combustion chamber free from the reduction of the outlet diameter in stead of (4).
