The method involves applying voltage between two groups (4,5) of teeth (6,7) adjacent to each other. The filamentous material is scoured through with totality of the teeth. The teeth of the group are completely covered with dielectric insulation (12) and a rapidly changing high voltage is applied between both the groups so that the filamentous material reaches between the teeth during scouring in the region by dielectric constrained electric discharge. An independent claim is also included for a device for killing parasites and their pre-forming on filamentous material.
