<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device that has high luminance and suppresses the occurrence of unevenness, such as moires, which is effective in realizing a thin layer, and to provide a liquid crystal display including the surface light source device, and to provide a light-transmissive substrate which is used for such a surface light source device. <P>SOLUTION: The surface light source device includes, in the order, a light source 12; a light-condensing sheet 14 having a plurality of condensing portions on at least one surface thereof; and the light-transmissive substrate 20 having a flat portion 23 and a plurality of recesses 21 on at least one surface thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
