PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a coreless armature wherein short-circuiting of adjoining terminal layers is prevented when resistance welding of the terminal layers is carried out. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing a coreless armature, a plurality of coil substrates 1 on which many conductive stripes 3 are formed in parallel are wound with an insulating layer 13 interposed therebetween and arranged in the shape of a concentric circle, the terminals 5 of the conductive stripes 3 provided on respective coil substrates 1 are overlapped as a terminal layer 23, a welding rod 21 is pushed against the terminal located in the outermost, the terminal layer 23 is sandwiched between coil tools 9a, 9b and the welding rod 21, and then a current is fed in order to connect the terminals 5 of the terminal layer 23 by resistance welding, wherein resistance welding of the terminal layer 23 is carried out by arranging an insulator 25 between the terminal layers 23 adjoining in the circumferential direction.
