<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a thermally expanded microcapsule capable of obtaining thermally expanded microcapsules excellent in dehydration property and heat resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the thermally expanded microcapsule includes: a process of suspending an oily substance containing a polymerizable monomer, a volatile liquid and a polymerization initiator into a dispersion liquid made by dispersing a metallic salt or a metal oxide into water; and a process of polymerizing the polymerizable monomer, wherein the metallic salt or the metal oxide is insoluble in water at pH of 7 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
