摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material for a lithium ion battery of high productivity capable of obtaining excellent electrolyte resistance and hydrofluoric acid resistance without using chromium having possibility of environmental load, and capable of simply forming a conversion treatment layer on both sides of an aluminum foil. SOLUTION: The packaging material 10 for the lithium ion battery is provided with at least an adhesive resin layer 12, a first conversion treatment layer 13, an aluminum foil layer 14, a second conversion treatment layer 15, an adhesive layer 16 and a base layer 17, which are laminated in that order on one of the faces of a sealant layer 11. In the packaging material 10, the aluminum foil layer 14 includes an aluminum foil with both sides etched, and the first conversion treatment layer 13 and the second conversion treatment layer 15 consist of zinc oxide coating, with an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of a surface of the first conversion treatment layer 13 on an adhesive layer 12 side of 30 to 200 nm.
