WATER-COOLED JACKET, AND FURNACE BODY COOLING STRUCTURE AND METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-cooled jacket dispensing with the replacement of refractories and the water-cooled jacket over many years, and also to provide a furnace body cooling structure and method using the water-cooled jacket. SOLUTION: The water-cooled jacket 10 is equipped with: a jacket body 20 having a cooling water passage 11 inside; and a plurality of cooling fins 30 formed at the jacket body 20 to project toward the inside of a furnace and formed in a plurality of stages at predetermined spaces along the width direction of the jacket body 20. The refractories 35 are arranged inserted between the respective cooling fins 30. A clearance between the refractory 35 and the cooling fin 30 is filled with a monolithic refractory 37, and the whole part including the ends of the cooling fins 30 is coated with the monolithic refractory 37.
