The present invention relates to a fatty acid amino ester and to a skin-whitening composition comprising same. It is an aim of the present invention to provide a fatty acid amino ester which is not harmful to the human body and which has superior skin-whitening effects and skin penetration or stability, and to provide a skin-whitening cosmetic comprising the fatty acid amino ester. The fatty acid amino ester of the present invention acts as an antagonist of MC1R, and effectively inhibits the expression of the hypostasis gene of the MC1R and inhibits the activity of tyrosinase and melanogenesis. In addition, the fatty acid amino ester employs a biocompatible amino acid to reduce cytotoxicity, and has a low molecular weight and organocompatible characteristics, and therefore the fatty acid amino ester of the present invention can easily penetrate into the skin of a user. Further, ester groups are incorporated into the C-terminal of the amino acid to achieve improved pH stability and exhibit superior chemical stability over a long period of use.
