PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of preventing a lance beak part from being damaged even when a great load is applied by a front holder. SOLUTION: A distal end of a locking lance 41 is formed with: the lance beak part 43 hooked with a lock release jig for releasing locking of the locking lance 41 to a terminal 12; and a locking protrusion 42 provided adjacent to the lance beak part 43 and erected from a terminal end of the lance beak part 43. A projected part 51 is constituted to make an under face 54a of the projected part 51 run on an upper face 41c of the lance beak part 43, when the locking lance 41 is inserted toward a deflection space 44 under a deflected state, and to bring a distal end of the projected part 51 into contact with a vertical face 41d of the locking protrusion 42 erected from the lance beak part 43.
