PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict granularity precisely over an entire ink amount space. SOLUTION: An ink amount map, where each position on a two-dimensional plane corresponds to the ink amount, is created by mapping an ink amount space to the two-dimensional plane. Each ink amount corresponding to a plurality of positions equally existing in the ink amount map is acquired as a test ink amount. A plurality of granularity patches are printed based on each test ink amount. A granularity index of each granularity patch is measured. A neural network is created with the test ink amount corresponding to each granularity patch and the granularity index as learning data.
