PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication terminal and method, capable of confirming a communication condition of another wireless communication channel without cutting connection with a radio network by a single radio unit. SOLUTION: The wireless communication terminal 10 includes a communication means 11a, a channel selection means 11b, a frame generation means 13, a communication condition confirmation means 12a, and a communication control means 12b. In the wireless communication terminal, the communication control means 12b performs control so that the channel selection means 11b selects a first wireless communication channel; the communication means 11a transmits a use time setting frame showing that the first wireless communication channel is used for a certain period by using the first wireless communication channel; thereafter the channel selection means 11b selects a second wireless communication channel different from the first wireless communication channel in a period of a wireless communication use time set in the use time setting frame; the communication condition confirmation means 12a confirms the communication condition in the second wireless communication channel; and thereafter the channel selection means 11b executes a series of channel selection for selecting the first wireless communication channel again and a confirmation process.
