PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a display control device which can retrieve interesting contents by simple operation.

SOLUTION: When a position detection part 35 detects that a pointer 32 is located while being deviated from a dead zone area 73 maintaining enlargement of a noticed image T independently of the position of the pointer 32 in a display area of the enlarged noticed image T, a display control part 37 regards an image adjacent to the deviated side as a new noticed image NT, more enlarges the new noticed image NT compared with other images instead of the preceding noticed image 71 and displays a reduced image string 41 on a display screen. Thereby, a display control mode to retrieve the interesting contents by simple operation is achieved.
