The method involves monitoring signal behavior (X-v) after emitting information signal. A driver is not intended to react on the emitted navigation reference if the signal behavior is indicated or the driver is unsure about the navigation reference. An independent claim is also included for a navigation system for emitting navigation references to a driver of a vehicle.
