PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein wear dust suddenly burns under the existence of combustible gas by reducing friction to be generated by rotation of a rotary ring and a fixed ring in contact with each other to prevent outbreaks of wear dust. SOLUTION: This seal device for a combustible gas compressor includes a rotary ring 5 fitted to a rotary shaft 2, a fixed ring 6 supported by a housing 1 opposite to the rotary ring 5, and a dynamic pressure generating groove 7 provided in one of opposite surfaces 5a and 6a of the rotary ring 5 and the fixed ring 6, and the fixed ring 6 is pushed to the rotary ring 5 by a spring 8.
