PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device capable of preventing disconnection between an electrode and a conductive member, when connecting the electrode of a light-emitting element inside a surrounding member and the conductive member outside the surrounding member. SOLUTION: The organic EL device includes: an element region, in which a plurality of light-emitting elements 21 including a first electrode 10 arranged on a base 20, a functional layer 12 arranged above the first electrode 10, and a second electrode 11 arranged above the functional layer 12, are formed; the surrounding member W which, out of the element region, covers a side part on an outer peripheral side of the functional layer 12 included in the element 21 closest to an outer periphery of the base 20, and which is arranged on the base 20; and the conductive member 22A arranged outside the surrounding member W. A thickness T of a conductive member 24 for connection, which is connected to the conductive member 22A and is connected to the second electrode 11, riding over the surrounding member W from the outside of the surrounding member W, is set larger than a thickness t of the second electrode 11.
