The invention pertains to the field of geophysical methods for searching and prospecting minerals. The purpose of the invention is to enhance the reliability of the geophysical diagnosis. The technical result of the invention consists in the separation of the influence on measuring results of the side and depth irregularities based on the 3D inversion of electrical prospection data by creating a geo-electrical model unique for all the measurement points. The invention essentially comprises determining the conductivity of the medium based on the measurement results on a basic observation system, generating a preliminary 3D model based on the data thus obtained that comprises carrying out a 3D calculation and calculating the offset relative to the measured data while excluding the false irregularities and selecting 3D objects having epicenters located under points of the basic observation system, which results in a precise 3D model, and determining the positions of conductivity anomalies in target horizons. The invention further comprises carrying out further measurements along the profiles extending through the centers of the isolated anomalies, and determining the offset for the existing precise 3D model that is corrected based on the level of the offset thus obtained, after which the presence of conductivity anomalies in the target horizon is confirmed or rejected and the parameters thereof are determined. The invention then comprises estimating the cross dimension of the anomalies thus detected and, in case of substantial influence thereof, making a measurement along the profiles extending through the centers of said anomalies. Using the data of the observation system thus obtained and containing the basic observation system and the additional profiles generated, the invention comprises carrying out a 3D inversion, the results of which are used for obtaining a final geo-electrical 3D model of the medium being studied.
