<p>Disclosed is a method for producing a carbon material coated with silicon carbide, wherein a silicon carbide coating film is formed on a carbon base by heating an amorphous inorganic ceramic material, which is obtained by heating an infusible solid silicone, and the carbon base in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. A carbon material coated with silicon carbide, which has a uniform silicon carbide coating film and exhibits excellent heat resistance, can be obtained by the method.</p> |
