PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer belt, having a small voltage dependency of volume resistivity, obtaining a stable image regardless of paper size and moisture absorption, obtaining an image without deletion even on rough transfer paper having serious ruggedness, further having small fluctuation of volume resistivity depending on a temperature-humidity environment, and achieving a stable and high-quality image even in a low temperature and low humidity environment, an ordinary temperature and ordinary humidity environment and a high temperature and high humidity temperature environment. SOLUTION: This transfer belt for an image forming apparatus includes: a surface layer which is formed of polyimide resin or polyamide-imide resin containing conductive material and 40-150μm thick; and a back layer, which is formed of polyvinylidene fluoride and 3-30μm thick.
