PURPOSE: A method for producing a large amount of indirubin using transformed microorganism is provided to be directly applied to the human body. CONSTITUTION: An indirubin or indirubin derivative is prepared from culture liquid containing a reaction substrate of an indicant or indoxyl derivative. A method for preparing indirubin comprises: a step of isolating and amplifying oxygenase gene which oxidizes C-2 position of indoxyl; and a step of culturing recombinant E.coli transformed by a vector to E.coli.
