Apparatus for finishing artificial stone blocks comprises milling cutters 16 adapted to work simultaneously on opposite faces of a line of blocks 3. The cutters each comprise an assembly of discs and are adjustably mounted in a carriage 2 sliding on rails 1. The blocks are supported by props 5 on a member 4, and are held in place by props 7 interposed between the blocks and a vertically adjustable member 6. The apparatus has wheels which may engage rails between lines of blocks, the blocks being lifted on to the apparatus by jibs 9. In a modification the blocks are moved relative to the cutters. |
