AN O-MEHTYLTRANSFERASE MUTANT AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING 3,7-O-DIMETHYLQUERCETIN AND 3,7-O-DIMETHYLKAEMPFEROL USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for preparing 3,7-O-dimethylquercetin and 3,7-dimethylkaempferol using O-methyltransferase mutant is provided to ensure antinociceptive activity and anti-inflammatory activity. CONSTITUTION: An O-methyltransferase mutant has an amino acid of sequence number 1. The O-methyltransferase mutant is specific to kaemferol and quercetin. A mutant gene of O-methyltransferase encoding the mutant has a base sequence of sequence number 2. The O-methyltransferase mutant is prepared using strain transformed by a recombinant expression vector. 3,7-O-dimethylquercetin is prepared from quercetin using the O-methyltransferase mutant. The 3,7-O-dimethylkaemferol is prepared from kaemferol using the O-methyltransferase mutant.
