Prepn. azo cpds. (I) by diazotising amines (II) and coupling with (III); or by acylating (IV) with 2 mols of acid R1OH. Solvent is dioxan or nitro benzene X is Cl or Br. R1 is benzoyl benzyl carbonyl, phenoxyacetyl where phenyl may be substituted with F, Cl or Br, alkyl, alkoxy, nitrile. R2 is alkyl or alkoxy. Acetate buffered, cool conditions are used. Dispersn. dye for organic high m.wt. hydrophobic fibres. Good props. and stable to washing, light, fumes, ozone, sea-water, soiling. |
