METHOD FOR PREDICTING COURSE OF ISCHEMIC STROKE

A method for predicting the course of the ischemic stroke provides for the basic examinations according to the standards of medical aid to the patients with the ischemic stroke and the assessment of the markers specific of the vascular lesions. The content of the highly specific glial fibrillary acidic protein and antibody to this protein is assayed in the peripheral blood for predicting the course of the acute phase of ischemic stroke as to the possible complications in such patients and assessing the efficacy of the ongoing therapy.
