PURPOSE: A machine tool is provided to efficiently discharge cut powder because the top of a main body is sharply inclined. CONSTITUTION: A machine tool comprises headstocks(2A,2B) and a low cutting tool rest(10C). The low cutting tool rest is moved in z-axis and x-axis directions by a low cutting tool rest moving mechanism(14C). The low cutting tool rest moving mechanism has a z-axis moving body(16) and an x-axis moving body. The low cutting tool rest is installed in the x-axis moving body. A base unit(25) of the processing machine support plane(4) of the z-axis moving body and a guide unit of the x-axis moving body are installed in the inner and outer sides of a main body(27), respectively.
