PURPOSE: A sewage treatment system is provided to return scum discharged from a circular settling basin to a pre-treatment facility, and to prevent the scum generated from the circular settling basin to be discharged to river. CONSTITUTION: A sewage treatment system comprises the following: a scum skimmer combined with a scraper rotator of a sludge discharger; a scum box with an opened upper side, including an outlet hole on the bottom for discharging scum collected by the scum skimmer; and a scum box speed reducer rotating the scum box by being installed on the side of a circular settling basin. The scum box includes one end forming a bent unit(110a) with a gradient to induce the insertion of the scum from the center of the circular settling basin to the inside of the scum box.
