PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of an illumination light amount and an imaging sensitivity and reduce the cost of components of an endoscope apparatus by highly accurately retaining the light wavelengths from semiconductor light emitting elements to predetermined fixed values, and generating the light of the predetermined wavelength, even if the light emitting wave length of a single semiconductor light emitting element does not fall within a predetermined wavelength range. SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus includes: a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements LD1 and LD2 whose central light emission wavelengthsλ<SB>LD1</SB>andλ<SB>LD2</SB>are different from each other; a multiplexer means 51 for multiplexing output lights from the LD1 and LD2; and a central wavelength converting means 49 for controlling a light emission amount ratio of the plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements LD1 and LD2 by the use of a wavelength conversion table in which a central wavelength of multiplexed laser light is obtained on the basis of information of the respective central light emission wavelengthsλ<SB>LD1</SB>andλ<SB>LD2</SB>and light emission amount of the LD1 and LD2. Accordingly, the central wavelength of the multiplexed light is controlled to be a predetermined wavelength. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
