PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can determine a change in an angle of field occurring in an image photographed by zoom operation even if viewing a subject by an optical finder in pieces of imaging apparatus that can attach and detach the optical finder and include a zoom function. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a control means 110 of letting a display means 114 display an image based on image data generated by an imaging means 106 when use of the display means 114 is selected, and of making the display means 114 display a frame corresponding to the angle of field of an optical system when use of the optical finder 120 is selected.
