<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag making machine which manufactures an angular bottomed bag in a format different from a conventional format. <P>SOLUTION: The barrel material 1 of one layer is bent along a length direction bending line 8, so that the barrel materials 1 and 2 of each layer are opened, and their open surfaces are formed. The side gusset material 3 of one layer is bent by the bending part of the barrel material, the side gusset material 3 of each layer is opened, its auxiliary gusset 7 is opened, and an open surface is formed. Moreover, a bottom gusset material 4 is lapped over the barrel materials 1 and 2 and the open surface of the auxiliary gusset 7. In width directions of the barrel materials 1 and 2, the bottom gusset material 4, the auxiliary gusset 7, the barrel materials 1 and 2, and the side gusset material 3 are heat-sealed while the barrel materials 1 and 2 of each layer are opened.
